$72 for Friday PLO/NLHE

Posted by Assistanc3 On April - 18 - 2009

Last night I go on Players Cardroom to watch Pinky play the HoldemRadio freeroll which she cashed out in,  when I noticed appers in a PL Omaha tournament.  To my joy there was late registration so I bounced into that game and glad I did…

First hand in I tripled up and rocked my way into this game.  I held on to my chips dodging some frantic players and getting into some verbal entertainment.  I find that usually slows down the action because they wanna hear whats coming next.
A river suck out was the only thing in my way to get first place.  I really wanted to take this Omaha game.

I then registered for the HoldemRadio $10 BuyIn…. took 3rd in that too.
got some good cards and took advantage of that early with some bluffs later on.

As you can see from the stats below
I played more active.  Look at that win if flop seen %… that is sick

Was a good night for cashing, wining $2.80 then $70 Its poker , its cards the game is the same at any level.  The out come should still remain the same. Make the money then Win.

You were having a good night, in more ways than 1 ;)

Watched you play both of these games and enjoyed myself, nice job cashing out in both. That’s quite the pot you took down in the first hand, what a way to start off a game.

Appers also did really well bubbling in that Omaha game, nicely done :)

Happy day 2 of marathon week-end. It’s Sunday and I’m saying prayers!!
Now It’s certainly about the 3″s for you AJ..:)
First: In your tourney you finished 3rd and my goodness what a fun game to watch you, my fellow Mass**** Figgy, and rrocker play.. Congrat!!

Second: Next it’s the HR game and there you are again with the “69″er again!! No delay makes up the trio this time and you cash in 3rd place.. Im seeing a pattern here aren’t you (33 ).. Lottery anyone??? :)

Thirdly and not the leastly: You had 3 wonderfully talented, adorable, kindhearted, slightly intoxicated ( right along with you btw!!!) woman in your chat room that night!!.. Just PG star struck by your talents… I didnt know we could learn Russian on the Canadian plan eh?? da!!! lol..
so it’s all about the 3’s.. threesoms… lol.. wait.. 3 +1 =4.. Let’s forget poker and go golfing!! swinnggggg!! %%- today in the big game..

WTG on your placings AJ .. You are consistant if nothing else, and that to me is the sign of a legitimate, solid player.

Just a side note – I jumped into that omaha by mistake and didn’t realize what game it was until the first hand was dealt. I did this once before in a FR and panicked so badly, I sat out the entire game.

I don’t play omaha and the only REAL rules of the game I understand is 2 from the hand / 3 on the board. Since I had bought into this game, I knew it was going to be a sink or swim – but I wasn’t going to chicken out and waste the buy-in! The single most blessing to me is that at least it was a Pot Limit game and NOT Hi-Lo. I think taking the bubble was a real achievement for me … (or more commonly known as beginners luck) as I knew enough to lay down the cards if I didn’t have at least a solid pkt pr to work with.

I’d love to continue learning Omaha I think. It doesn’t seem near as wreckless as holdem seems to have become.
